Jackson: So, in about a year and a half I'll be a teenager. It seems that in books and on tv, teenagers never listen to their parents and try to break all the rules. I would never want to do that!
Me: Yes, that's true about some teenagers sometimes, Jackson. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. You have such a gentle, kind heart and it makes me happy to hear that you want to do right.
Jackson: Thanks, Mom. But, I'd probably be a bank robber or a backyard bully if it wasn't for you teaching me the right way.
Me: unable to speak... To God be the glory.

:-) A bank robber and a backyard bully are pretty much on equal terms! I'm so glad Jackson has such a humble heart too, and such a wonderful mom.
Oh, wow! What a wonderful conversation, Jessica. Makes my heart happy for you and Jackson.
