Best friends

Jackson and Katie have lots of friends. They often talk about how much they love their best friends from church. And they do, but they really love each other! They've always been very close. They're just over a year apart and they do everything together. Sometimes I think they need more personal attention, so Andrew or I will take one of them out just for some special one-on-one time. Oddly enough, they end up spending the whole time saying things like, "Jackson would love that!" or "Can we get that for Katie? I wish she was here!"

They're not perfect, they sometimes aggravate each other, but they really are great play mates. Jackson really looks out for Katie and Katie really looks up to Jackson. I feel like God brought them together, in this time in their lives, for each other. Jackson helps Katie with her school work. Katie plays dinosaurs with Jackson. Jackson protects Katie from bad dreams at night and Katie exclaims "wows" of praise at Jackson's drawings. Jackson submits to being turned into a frog by Katie's princess wand and Katie is always quick to turn him back into a prince.+

I'm glad they have each other.
