Samuel Myers came to town
in the middle of September
Note to self: next time be sure
to epidural remember
On October first we went to church
and your head got very wet
We promised that God's Covenant
we never will forget
It wasn't long and it was time
to move to a new town
Who would've known that RSV
would get poor Sammy down
But you recovered, now you're well
such an easy-going guy
Are you really one of us?
you hardly ever cry
At eight months old, that all changed
guess you *are* a Myers
But it's just a little late
As my refund just expires
Here we are, your first year gone
you truly are a joy
we give our thanks to God for you
our sweetest little boy.
