We all had a nice time as you can tell from the pictures. The woman who brought the baby wild turkeys, baby pheasants and wild turkey eggs gave a nice presentation to all the kids. We didn't actually get to see the turkeys hatch. We saw one that had pecked a little hole through the egg and we were told that it would be in the next hour or two. But, none of the children seemed disappointed as they had sweet little fluffy chicks for us to see and pet! Miss Helena read some stories, all the kids got to say what they liked/disliked about eggs/chicks and then they passed our coloring pages and crafts.
The little ones are the pheasants and the bigger ones are the turkeys. The turkeys were born about a week ago and started out the same size as the pheasants. They grow fast! They eat seeds, eggs, apples and corn.

This is Miss Helena reading us a story. She's our usual "storylady" and the kids really like her. She's wonderful with them!
