Birds and Bees

Katie asked me last week if when she was a baby she was in my tummy. I told her she was and that I loved having her there but I love having her out even more. Then she asked me how did she get in there, did I eat her? I said, no I didn't eat her...and then I thought she was going to drop it. But, instead she asked how did she get out of my tummy. I just told her that when it was time, mommy went to the hospital and then I got to hold her. She said, "but there's no door." So, then Jackson piped up and said, "baby's are too big to come out of your mouth, mommy!"

So Jackson was asking again tonight about how he got out of my tummy. I just told him again that we went to the hospital and the midwife put him in my arms and I said, "Your name is Jackson and you're my boy!"

But Katie had to add: "And then Mommy said, I wish you were a girl though!"
